Effect of educational progressive web application on patient’s oral and denture knowledge and hygiene: A randomised controlled trial

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of a novel progressive web application (PWA) on patient’s oral and denture knowledge hygiene. Fifty-two removable partial wearers were randomised receive education using PWA, or verbal instructions accompanied by demonstration hygienic procedures. Changes in participants’ score, plaque index, gingival index was evaluated during follow-up period 3 months. The acceptance PWA explored through usage logs feedback form. Both groups showed significant improvement scores, hygiene indices ( p < 0.001) after education. group demonstrated significantly lower score than control = 0.008) at third month review. In conclusion, there is potential mobile educating elderly patients viable option for providing post-denture delivery instructions.
